We'll never fit a bar rated below what you've told us you plan to tow.

- Usually, yes. A 13-pin socket carries the reversing light and permanent live, and on most modern cars a dedicated kit is the cleanest way to give the car's systems the trailer signal, for example to switch off the rear parking sensors. We'll tell you which kit your car takes when we quote.

- Fitting is £120 for the job, not per part, so the bar and the wiring go on in the same visit for that one price. The bar and wiring kit are quoted on top and you'll see the full total before paying anything.
- Can you fit a towbar I've already bought?
- Yes. We'll fit a bar bought elsewhere, wire it in and test it. Give us the part number when you book so we can confirm the labour first.
